I first picked up a camera at around about the age of 8 and since then have known exactly what I wanted to do and have been doing it ever since, from my first job at 16 working as a photo printer in the pro labs in Leicester to today a total of 27 years within the industry 35 years if you include that 8 year old lad with his mums camera. If you can earn a living from doing what you enjoy -then you have to be the luckiest person alive don't you ?

THE SPECIALIST. In my photographic career I have had experience in many photographic disciplines landscape/industrial/advertising/portrait, but for well over the last 10 years I have concentrated on weddings and now only advertise this type of photography, this I believe is the only way anyone can say that they are a specialist wedding photographer.

I WORK ALONE ---How ?
All of the planning is done just before the day, I like to meet with the couple as they can then tell me all of the group shots they want, their - must have, shots. We may meet where the bride will be leaving from, and visit the Church or reception. Most of the time I will have been to the venue before and at different time’s of the year, so I usually know the best places for the shots that we have just talked about, taking in to consideration dozens of factors such as where the drinks will be served- is there another wedding on the day- the gardens that time of year – is the grass too wet, is there a dry standing area that will still provide a nice back drop - what rooms are available if the photos have to be taken indoors. It can never be just a case of turning up on the day.
Spending some extra time with you also will give me a much better feel for how you want your day to be. The point is that a lot of the work is done before the day so that when it comes to it I can work quickly, and most importantly - unobtrusively. I even memorise all the shots you want, so that no time is wasted ticking off the shots as we go.
All of this allows me to work without a fuss, which gives me more time to capture informal/ candid shots that will make up the story of your day, and give you more time with your guests. When people say afterwards “I didn’t even know you took that”, then that is how it should be. I use two cameras each with a different lens, which also helps me work fast. So because of all this I can work alone.

SAMPLE WORK
Most of the time you will find it very hard to view a photographers whole weddings, you may well be looking at an edited down version of a Wedding. You need to see whole weddings to get a true idea of a photographers work but they don’t want you to, that’s why you will of come across coded access for online viewing. I am proud of every one of my weddings and so long as my Bride and groom do not require the privacy my latest past weddings can be viewed here. Don’t book someone only after seeing the best hand picked sample shots from a few weddings
These kind of shots are ones that I love to do,and as with many of my shots I do not like to pose things too much.I know somthing will look good and where to do it, and then let it flow, so I can get shots that feel free and unposed.

Bad weather need not have too much of an effect on your photos as I can use an indoor studio flash set up if need be.Click here to view a slideshow of past weddings that had to have photos taken indoors.

The Brides shoes are hidden under the dress, so why not do a quick still life to show what they looked like.
Your wedding will feature many details
And the photography is not just about the faces.

There are many expenses that go to make up your wedding, most of which will be gone after the day

I don't like to see too much posing, but in order to make it look unposed it has to be posed and the trick is in making it look like it isn't.

I love black and white but I also know it won't work on every shot, this is one of those shots that I knew would work well in black and white.
I first started my love of photography with black and white

During the ceremony I prefer to keep back and capture the key moments and do not like to interfere with the proceedings.
